How do walk-in bathtubs with quick-drain systems benefit seniors?

A quick-drain walk-in tub reduces the wait before opening the door and getting out. Actual draining time depends on the tub, water level, drain system and household plumbing; it is not the same for every installation. Ask how the system works during a power outage and what maintenance it needs. Fast drainage is a useful comfort feature, but it does not remove the need for support when standing or eliminate slippery surfaces.
