What are the installation costs and process for walk-in bathtubs?

Walk-in tub installation prices depend on the model and work needed in the bathroom. Removal of the old bath, delivery, plumbing, electrical work, wall repairs and permits may be separate charges. The installer should measure the space, confirm the water supply and drain, install and seal the tub, then test its operation. Our walk-in bathtub guide includes current published budgeting ranges. Obtain an itemized local price and schedule instead of assuming one standard installation cost.
